What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites store in your browser when you visit them. They are widely used to make websites function correctly, to remember your preferences between visits, and — where consent is given — to provide anonymised analytics about how pages are used.

Cookies do not contain executable code and cannot access other files on your device. They expire either when you close your browser (session cookies) or after a fixed period (persistent cookies).

Cookies We Use

Essential Cookies

Always Active

Required for the website to function. These include session management and security tokens. They cannot be disabled without breaking core site functionality.

Examples: Session ID, CSRF protection token  |  Duration: Session

Analytics Cookies

Optional

Help us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting anonymised data about page visits, session duration, and navigation paths. This information informs improvements to our content and structure.

Examples: Google Analytics (_ga, _gid)  |  Duration: Up to 2 years

Marketing Cookies

Optional

Used to track enquiry conversion events and, where applicable, to serve relevant advertisements on third-party platforms. Data is processed by advertising networks under their own privacy policies.

Examples: Google Ads conversion, Meta Pixel  |  Duration: Up to 90 days

Preference Cookies

Optional

Remember settings you have chosen, such as your cookie consent preferences, to avoid presenting the same choices on every visit.

Examples: cookieConsent (localStorage)  |  Duration: Persistent until cleared

Third-Party Cookies

Where you have consented to analytics or marketing cookies, third-party services may set their own cookies on our pages. These providers operate under their own privacy policies:

  • Google Analytics and Google Ads (Alphabet Inc.) — analytics and conversion tracking.
  • Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — conversion tracking for social media advertising.
  • Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads) — search advertising conversion measurement.

You can withdraw consent from third-party cookies at any time by updating your preferences above or by managing cookies directly in your browser.

Cookie Duration

Cookies used on this site fall into two duration categories:

  • Session cookies — expire automatically when you close your browser. Used for essential site functions such as form security tokens.
  • Persistent cookies — remain until their expiry date or until you clear them. Analytics cookies typically expire within 1–2 years; marketing cookies within 30–90 days; preference cookies persist until cleared.
